Born from uncharted territories
I love having a jacket with many large and functional pockets, especially for flights, hiking, etc. I have had a fleece from a company that is known for its beige boots that I have used for this purpose for over 10-years and it has held up great, but I was looking for something new. I was skeptical of Apricoat as it looked great and exactly what I was looking for on the promotional videos, but I did not really know the company. So far, I am pleasantly surprised. The quality feels like it should hold up to heavy use fairly well. I have not had a chance to test it yet in really cold weather, but it feels like it should be fine if you layer up. The pockets are numerous, although some of them are a bit on the smaller side to be really functional for anything bigger than a small wallet or a small set of keys. The handwarmers are a fun touch for those who enjoy them, but they make the jacket a little more difficult to put on if you don't want to use them. The Velcro dividing the inside pockets is also not the best design. If used, they render each section too small. But unsticking it to make one large pocket is a bit annoying, especially if you are trying to do it quickly or managing multiple items. Again, none of these issues are significant enough to drop the jacket down a star. The true test will be when I go on my first flight and have to use it to comfortably stash my wallet, keys, e-reader, phone, small laptop, food, etc. It basically becomes a small backpack. So far, I am very happy with the purchase.
It fits well and has lots ofmusefull pockets. I like that the zippers are all sealed for the rain.
Beautifully designed, comfortable, stylish and oh-so-practical!
I’m still waiting to wear my new Adventura 2.0 in rainy Seattle, Washington soon, but it has already exceeded my expectation in it’s handsome style without sacrificing an abundance of ingenious practicality! A winner all around! MJS
Excellent service and professional and friendly...
Haven't had a chance to actually wear it as the weather isn't cool enough yet. Waiting for the fall to kick in a bit more. But tried it on and fits great. Am 6'0 ft / 175lbs. I bought the Medium. SOOOOO many pockets. :) D
Beautiful red Coat.
I ordered it in anticipation of winter. I live outside of Houston so we are still in the 90's and I haven't worn it yet. It's made wonderfully and has tons of pockets. I don't see anything about it that I don't like. Anxious to get to wear it soon. Plan to do some hiking with my dogs.
So far doing well to change in weather and moderate rain. Can’t wait to take this jacket on vacation in a few weeks and see how it stands up to constant rain and chilly weather. Lots of pockets to stash things in so I don’t have to worry about a purse.
Not as good as hoped for. It is too wide in the category M. Otherwise quite nice!
